Cafe Atlantic - The Taste of Ocracoke Luxury
Ahhh...Cafe Atlantic. If you are interested in having one of the best meals available on Ocracoke, be sure to try this fine eating establishment...the "Taste of Ocracoke Luxury".

Located off Highway #12 at the top end of the Village of Ocracoke, Cafe Atlantic is housed in the beautiful "bright and cheery" two-story house, shown below. They offer dinner nightly, and a Sunday brunch as well.

Here's a nice pic of the "downstairs dining area" taken from the stairs leading to the "upstairs dining area". See those deep blue napkins? We loved them. They seemed to add to the whole "fun, beach, ocean" atmosphere so in keeping with the Island of Ocracoke itself.
Jenny, our friendly and knowledgeable waitress, showed us to our brightly lit, yet cozy, corner table upstairs. Be sure to let them know if you have a seating preference...they are pleased to help you out if they can.

There are a lot of nice paintings of various themes on the walls to add that bit of an "artistic" flare to your dining experience. Most, if not all, are available for sale (if you are interested in taking an upscale slice of Ocracoke back home with you).

The menu is wide and varied, with a good selection of appetizers, entrees, desserts, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Seniors and children menu options are also available.

To start things off, we had a beautiful fresh salad with fresh homemade blue cheese dressing...washed down with a nice, cool, refreshing glass of water (shimmering in the light as shown below). The salad dressing was homemade, chunky, and very fresh. I can taste those delicious blue cheese chunks now... :)

For the main meal I had a special "fish" treat. How does this sound:
"Grilled Mahi Mahi and Balsamic Butter with Pecans on a Spinach Bed". Oh, and don't forget the "Green Beans" on the side. The fish was very tender and practically fell apart in my mouth. The balsamic butter added a bit of a tangy flare to every mouthful. The crunchiness of the green beans added the nice contrast of textures to the meal.
Sounds good? Tasted good! Delish!

The dessert menu at Cafe Atlantic changes daily...which means there is often a new tasty treat for you to try out.
We had the Chocolate Neopolitan Custard with Strawberry & Milk Chocolate Sauce. Yum! The beautiful picture of this dessert shown below was surpassed only by the taste!

Our conclusion? Cafe Atlantic is a premiere dining establishment on the Island of Ocracoke. We topped our vacation off by eating here, and were sure glad we did.
